Charging stations are located on the first floor of the deck, best accessed by entering the deck from 4th Street.
Drivers of electric vehicles may now recharge their systems at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center.
The pilot installation project, in partnership with Recharge Solutions Int’l LLC (RSI), provides a level II, 240-volt electric vehicle charging system, as well as a 110-volt electric fleet charging system for Georgia Tech service vehicles.
The 240-volt chargers will be available 24 hours a day to both the campus and general communities. Users will be able to register with the RSI system for either short- or long-term charging, paying by credit card or through monthly billing.
The fleet charging system will enable Parking and Transportation to more effectively monitor the usage and costs of its electric vehicle fleet.
"We recognize the importance of reducing our carbon footprint," said David Williamson, associate director of transportation. "We anticipate that we will expand the two [charging] systems as demand grows for more electric cars being driven in and around Atlanta.”
The parking deck at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is deck E81 in campus parking, located at 4th and Spring Streets. Charging stations are located on the first floor of the deck, best accessed by entering the deck from 4th Street across from Arby's. The stations are to the right inside of that entrance.
